Q: Who is the new Gym Leader? A: I want it to be a surprise. Q: Who is Kamon? Q: Why is he named "Kamon" and not "Silver"? A: Each region has a trio of trainers. Each region has a trio of main character trainers. Kamon's counterparts are Ethan and Lyra. Since Ethan and Lyra have "real" names, "Silver" must receive a real, non-color name, and thus it's Kamon.

A: Because Mewtwo is the mascot. And Mewtwo is dark-violet A: I don't care. She will be Green. I mean, if the dude's official name is Red, and the rival's official name is Blue, then the most logical name to call the girl would be Green.
Not freaking "Leaf". Also, Green was meant to appear in the 1st Generation Pokemon games. Here's beta artwork of her from Gen I, and here's more beta artwork of her. Or just pretend you're in the year If you saw that girl, and you knew that the guy's name is Red, and the rival's name is Blue, what would you think the girl's name would be? Green, duh. This is because I expanded the action sprite to the size that it is in RSE for style continuity, and I'm assuming the reflection still assumes its the original size.

He will take you to one of his facilities and let you throw your fill of Safari Balls at some rare Pokemon until one is finally your Partner. Be sure to catch a good one, you will never be able to go back to that area again.
If you choose this option, while you are gone, your impatient Rival picks Charmander as his partner. All pokemon from Fire Red and Leaf Green, that are catchable, will be residing in the area that they were obtainable in the regular version of the game.
There are 2 instances where you are given a choice between 2 Pokemon. In Mt. Moon you choose between Kabuto and Omanyte by picking a fossil and in Saffron you pick either Hitmonlee or Hitmonchan after defeating the Karate Master.
