Truly a game changer! I tried cheaper options and their interface looked more interesting, but those looks were deceiving. Those others were difficult to effectively manage and really buggy. I do pay for Apple Music, so I have to individually purchase those pieces I decide to accompany on my banjo.
But that is a very small added cost for the time ASD saves when learning the song. Besides having quick and easy control of pitch and speed, the setting of focused sections of songs is very easy—I was setting focused loops on the fly the first night of practice using ASD.
Each loop only took seconds to create and are automatically organized under a disc looking icon linked to the song. Having the loops organized with each song like that is one of the many details that make using ASD intuitive and effective. I do not typically leave reviews—less than a half dozen made in my lifetime across all platforms—so this review is a sign of how impressive and helpful this app truly is. Thanks for this great product!
This app consistently crashes. Exactly what do you mean with "crashes"? We are not aware of any crashes. It seems you mean failure to playback a song. If you refer to Spotify playback or Apple Music playback, then it's probably an internet connection error. Please contact Roni Music directly to find a solution to the problem. Privacy practices may vary, for example, based on the features you use or your age.
Because it works with your CD-Rom drive and doesn't require recording, it is faster and more accessible than other software that offers similar functionality.
The interface is all on one screen and is a bit dated. Without a clear tutorial onscreen you'll be clicking around to find the right buttons, but there is a Help file and the brief menus make it easier to pick this software up and use it even without clear instructions. The features here are unique, allowing you to play back any track on a CD or from your MP3 library at one to percent speed without losing any pitch. The result is a perfect app for learning the notes in a song or dissecting a track on a note-by-note basis.
Combined with numerous options for how to play back those tracks, make comments, or annotate, it's a great tool. Amazing Slow Downer is free to try but does have some restrictions in the number of tracks it will play back on a CD pending a paid upgrade.
Even still, if you are looking for a solid playback tool to slow down tracks while learning or editing, this is a great option and well worth trying. If you're a musician who likes to learn new songs and techniques by listening to the same piece of music over and over but wish that the music could be played a little slower, then you'll enjoy Amazing Slow Downer. Change the tuning or musical key? No problem, Amazing Slow Downer handles that as well. Setup seamless loops by touching the 'Set' buttons during playback.
Amazing Slow Downer is the ideal tool for any musician, transcriber or dancer wanting to improve their skills. Supports playback of streaming audio from both 'Apple Music' and 'Spotify Premium'! Note: Some functions such as 'Pitch change' and 'Equalizer' are not available when playing 'Apple Music' songs.
I am violin teacher and I use and recommend this app a great deal. As far as usage is concerned, there could be many purposes for using this program. If you come to think of it, slowing down tracks isn't necessarily something only quirky DJs do. It's great if you want to practice playing a certain song.
The whole process deals with slowing down frames, which in turn adjust the speed at which all the notes in a tune are played. You're about to play your favorite tunes in slow motion. The scary part about Amazing Slow Downer is indeed the interface. At first glance, it might look pretty scary. Indeed it is.
